The proposal

The Church of England Academies Services proposes a new, exciting Academy suited to 21st-century learning, on the site of the John Kitto Community College.

The Academy will build on the college’s existing strengths and:

• create a new identity for itself within the community
• closely focus on nurturing literacy and numeracy skills
• offer personalised learning and support, with an ‘anytime-anywhere’ ethos
• use partnerships and collaboration with outside organisations to raise standards
